In 2019 the municipality of Strassen invited tenders for the construction of a new school building – the tender was won by the company ALHO (http://alho.com) and in November 2019 the order for the construction of the new school building was received.
In April 2020, the assembly of the room modules began and already in September the building was handed over to the client, the Administration Communale de Strassen.
The elementary school has a length of 59 meters and a width of 16 meters. This results in a floor area of around 2,850 m² on the three floors. A sustainability certification according to DGNB was tendered for the new construction of the elementary school. In order to ensure a high building energy efficiency, great importance was attached to intelligent building services. Our Metawell® radiant ceiling sails can be used for cooling and heating the rooms and at the same time provide good room acoustics. The white (RAL 9010) ceiling sails have the perforation Q6x16 and each have a tongue-and-groove connection at one end. We supplied a total of 172 elements measuring 1480 mm x 2750 mm, which could be very easily assembled on site to form 86 elements each 5.5 m long. Our customer was Helmut Herbert GmbH from Bensheim, who assembled and connected our elements perfectly. We thank all involved persons for the great implementation of this beautiful project.
