NFPA 285 is one of the most demanding fire performance tests for exterior wall assemblies in North America. It evaluates whether fire spreads vertically or horizontally across a facade system under a realistic fire scenario.
Successfully passing NFPA 285 gives architects, facade consultants and contractors the confidence to specify Metawall® B1 – 10mm for projects requiring compliance with U.S. fire safety standards, while benefiting from a lightweight, durable and high-performance facade solution.
Passing this test is an important milestone in our commitment to bringing innovative aluminium facade systems to the North American market.
