Weight saving potential – walls<\/h2>\n

In shipbuilding we develop, partly together with our customers, complete concepts for components to save installation costs as well as energy during operation for the benefit of the ship owners. Our wall panel for shipbuilding Metawell\u00ae Alu hl 03-L03-03 hl \/ H12 weighs only 3.3 kg\/m\u00b2 with a thickness of 12 mm, including the HPL coating 4.6 kg\/m\u00b2 – an absolute lightweight panel.<\/p>\n

Compared with standard panels with a purely metallic structure, this means a further saving of at least 2 kg\/m\u00b2. Extrapolated to 30 – 40,000 m\u00b2 of C-walls, this corresponds to a weight saving for the cruise ship of 60 – 80 tons.<\/p>\n

If we then compare our panel with a fiberboard panel, the lightest type on the market saves 183 – 244 tons for the same quantity, and the heavier type even 390 – 520 tons. At the same time, we have developed a tongue & groove system for these wall panels, which considerably reduces the installation costs.<\/p>\n

Wall claddings for ships, boats, yachts & co.<\/h2>\n

With the use of large-sized Metawell\u00ae<\/sup> panels<\/a> the number of joints in the walls can be reduced. Using common fastening profiles, the panels can be mounted fast and flexible, e.g. tongue & groove. Curved parts and parapet claddings are implemented with the easily formable Metawell\u00ae<\/sup> Aluflex.<\/p>\n

Metawell\u00ae<\/sup> Aluflex<\/a> is the ideal panel for parapet linings and curved parts. It can easily be bent in one direction while staying rigid in the other direction. Furthermore it has a better attenuation characteristic than a solid aluminium sheet.<\/p>\n\n\t\t
