Rail vehicles

For years Metawell^® has been successfully used in rail vehicles because there especially big-sized elements with demanding surfaces are needed. Thanks to Metawell^®'s low weight and its high rigidity even big elements can easily be realized.

Shaping

The product Metawell^® Aluflex is an ideal material to shape around one axis. Since it consists only out of the corrugation and one cover sheet it is possible to make the shaping flexible when bending the material around one axis parallel to the corrugation crests or permanent while bending it vertically to the corrugation. Thus a form-stable and light element can be made which is excellently suited as ceiling or lining element.

Big even surfaces

Thanks to the evenness of Metawell^® even in big formats and in view of the manifold possibilites of subsequent surface coatings the panel recommends itself for the use in interior constructions such as e.g. wall systems or flat linings. The space between the cover sheets of Metawell^® panels can be used for blind fixing systems.

Load bearing structures

The high loading capacity and the directive stiffening of the corrugation allow Metawell^® to be used in constructions with high point or area loads (e.g. maintenance drops in the floor, access aids or evacuation systems).

Approvals

Metawell^® meets the rating foll. DIN 5510 with the fire class S4 respectively S 5, the smoke development class SR2 and the drop-forming class ST2.

Development / construction

Any light construction must also be technically-economically appropriate. Our technical staff are well familiar with the special features of sandwich technology and stay at your command to provide technical support and to jointly develop the best solution for a new and appropriate light construction.
